Exhibition at Didsbury Parsonage, Manchester
6 August - 27 August 2017 - ' Journeys and Destinations'
With fine food and cask ales and good walking, The Partridge is a lovely place to eat, drink or stay.
I have added an evocative new image to the Gallery 'Windfall Light', escaping shafts of sunlight in dense Cheshire woodland. The picture is an example of 'komorebi' a Japanese word describing sunlight streaming through trees for which there is no direct English equivalent. Windfall light is borrowed from Dylan Thomas's poem 'Fern Hill'. More info on the Gallery page.
Didsbury Arts Festival 2017
Three of my prints are now on display at The Parsonage in Didsbury, Manchester as part of an exhibition for the Didsbury Arts Festival 2017.
Over 30 pieces of my work have now been installed in the bedrooms of the elegant, newly refurbished Partridge in Stretton, Cheshire. The Partridge is nestled in the countryside yet adjacent to Junction 10 of the M56.
The Partridge, Stretton, Cheshire
A big thank you to everyone who came along to my recent exhibition at the Didsbury Parsonage in Manchester. The exhibition was a great success and it was lovely to meet so many people who were so warmly enthusiastic about the images on display.
I have been invited to exhibit work at the Parsonage again next year (2018) and will hope to announce dates shortly.
2 New Images added to the Gallery
I have added 2 new images to my Image Gallery: 'From Shining Tor to Shuttlingsloe' and 'A Rite of Spring'. The first is a view after heavy April showers had crossed over Cheshire's highest point, the second features the glorious joy of our native woodland bluebells. Visit the Gallery page for a higher resolution image and further narrative.
