‘Solstice’ was taken in Derbyshire (in the triangle between Longnor, Crowdicote and Earl Sterndale) in the late afternoon of the Winter Solstice. For me the image captures not only the beautiful, muted colours of the late December Solstice sky, but also the distinct and unmistakable nature of the Derbyshire skyline.
