Perhaps less ‘obvious’ than some of the London landmarks, the elegant and green-painted Hammersmith Bridge is a stunning night-lit spectacle with its wrought-iron framework on the towers and cross-beams clad in ornamental cast-iron casings, giving the appearance of arches. The bridge is 700 ft long and 43 ft wide and carries a 27 ft-wide carriageway. I used a panoramic format to capture the majesty of this construction.
